The Melbourne branch of the Alternative Technology Association (ATA) present Audrey Zibelman, CEO, Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO). Audrey will discuss the pivotal role that AEMO occupies in delivering energy security and reliability amid the energy transition and the work AEMO is doing in this regard, as well as touch on the Finkel recommendations. 

She will also briefly descuss her experience in the use of destributed energy in New York state, and touch on AEMO's joint pilot project with ARENA on demand response.

Audrey Zibelman has extensive experience in the public, private and not-for-profit energy and electricity sectors in the United States, most recently having held the positions of Commissioner and Chair of the New York State Public Service Commission (NYPSC). During her tenure at the NYPSC, Ms Zibelman led the design and implementation of extensive regulatory and retail market changes to modernise and transform the state's electricity industry.
