Reducing energy consumption through thermodynamics

Reducing energy consumption through thermodynamics

Monday, 4 February 2019 - 6:30pm to 8:00pm

Electricity prices annually continue to rise. There are two potential options to counter this; renewable energies or reducing demand.

This seminar will discuss the options for reducing energy consumption, with a focus on SolXEnergy, a company that has patented technology that can reduce energy consumption by up to 60% on most types of commercial refrigeration and HVAC.

SolXEnergy will present thermodynamics theory, variable flow compressor system and how solar thermal systems work in commercial heating and cooling applications, including refrigeration, and how these make a difference in the shift to zero-carbon emissions.

Adam Turner from SolXEnergy’s Australian subsidiary will join us.

Event Location:
Cuming Theatre, Chemistry Building
