Renew Seminar Series: The Victorian Government's Recycling Policy (WEBINAR ONLY)

Wednesday, 18 March 2020 - 6:30pm to 8:00pm

NOTE: All public events at the University of Melbourne have been cancelled in response to COVID-19. However, this event will still proceed as a live webinar.

Recycling became a hot topic in Australia after China imposed bans on the import of certain types of materials in 2018. Left without a major market for the export of recyclable materials, Australian jurisdictions have been forced to develop new strategies for collecting, processing and utilising those materials.

In this seminar, Lorna Mathieson, the Project Director of the Recycling Sector Response at Victoria's Department of Environment, Land Water and Planning, will outline the Victorian Government's recycling strategy.
