Georgia Wallace-Crabbe will talk on her five channel video installation, The Earth and The Elements, which was undertaken as a practice-based, creative research project towards her Doctorate of Creative Arts (DCA). The research explores responses to global ecological issues via an intercultural and multi-screen approach that highlights resources exchange between China and Australia.

Georgia Wallace-Crabbe is a filmmaker whose art practice builds on her experience of over thirty years in film and television, with a particular interest in documentary film and experimental cinema. At the end of her earlier documentary film, New Beijing: Reinventing a City (2009), architecture professor Xing Ruan (UNSW) - who features in the film - concludes that China’s economic prosperity is breeding ecological disaster:
